'JON! JON! JON!' teriak seorang wanita di pintu dengan mengetuk keras pintu depan rumah yang catnya sudah mulai terlupas. suara wanita kecil juga terdengar cerewet dengan disanggah suara berat pria yang kira-kira umurnya tiga tahun diatasku. sementara suara mesin mobilmasih menderu di perkarangan rumah.
'iya' kataku kecil. akhirnya kujulurkan kepalaku keluar jendela yang tepat diarah belakang tempat tidurku. dengan mata yang masih mengantuk, kulihat mereka tidak asing lagi buat diriku dan hidupku. mereka keluargaku. 'akhirnya kalian balik juga!' kataku sambil merintih kesakitan karena kepalaku terbentur lumayan keras ujung jendelaku.
'JON, kamu tidak pernah membersihkan rumahmu ini!' kata ibu sambil melotot ke arahku dengan membawa sebungkus kantong besar. kupikir itu adalah oleh-oleh untukku, atau juga bukan. Millianne menjulurkan lidahnya kepadaku dan berteriak keras saat melihat tumpukan baju kotor disamping kamar pinknya itu. Alec juga tertawa melihat dia dan menepuk pundakku dengan kata hi, buddy dengan senyum lebar. "gimana kabarmu selama dua minggu bebasmu?" kebalas saja dengan jawaban cetus, "it's hell!" diapun tertawa dan langsung naik tangga dan kekamarnya yang tak jauh dari kamarku.
kulihat ibu mengangkat semua baju kotorku disamping kamar Milli. dia sepertinya kelihatan kesal bangat. kurasa aku juga bisa seperti dia juga kalau anakku nanti melakukan hal yang sama seperti yang aku lakukan. tawaku kecil di hati.
kubuka pintu depan dan membiarkan tubuh ayahku masuk dengan tumpukan kardus di depan mukanya. "makasi, anakku!" katanya dengan cepat menuju ruang tamu dan diapun memintaku membantunya membawa barang-barang yang masih tertinggal di mobil. sepertinya masih banyak. kupanggil Alec untuk membantu tapi tak ada jawaban darinya. biar kuhajar dia saat aku keatas.
aku penasaran apa yang mereka bawa untukku dari cottagenya paman Ericson di London. aku berharap sih sesuai dengan keinginanku, tapi kutak berharap banyak karena biasanya mereka membelikan sesuatu yang tak sesuai dengan keinginanku. Alec dan Milli pasti yabg memilihnya dan mereka pasti sudah tertawa selama perjalanan pulang. pantesan kupingku terasa panas semenjak kemarin. kumajukan bibirku ini sambil mengangkat kardus-kardus kedalam rumah.

Duniaku.. Adaptasiku.. Peradabanku.
CHAPTER ONE ... Pagi ini
alarmku berbunyi keras pagi ini membangunkanku dari tidur yang belum cukup mantab , kukira!, kubergegas ke kamar mandi dan ku basuhkan air yang dingin ke tubuhku.. tidak membutuhkan waktu yang lama buat ku untuk memilih outfit pagi ini, kuambil keperluan pagiku dan wusssssssssss ku tancap gas.. diperjalanan ku hampir saja tertabrak dan ditabrak.
tertabrak oleh seorang tua bangka yang tak sabar menunggu lampu merah berganti menjadi hijau, tapi sepertinya tampangnya lebih galak daripada aku yang hampir tertabrak olehnya, hmmmm sampai tujuan aku juga hampir ditabrak, tapi kali ini hampir ditabrak oleh seorang wanita geulis asal sunda, kalo tidak salah. "maaf yah!..." ucapnya manis. "it's ok!" ucapku terkesima...
..pikiranku masih ke gadis tersebut sampai di sekolah. What the..? kataku dalam hati. kulangsung keatas membawa kaki ini melaju dengan cepat karena ternyata aku telat 10 menit. pelajaran pertama pun dimulai dan itu membosankan- gurunya, pelajarannya atau aku yang membosankan- aku pun tak tahu!..
i just hope the bell rings soon enough, kataku dalam hati. yup, akhirnya bellpun berdentang keras. Guru bahasa inggrisku memanggilku dengan keras.. "JON!!" "Yeah, sir!" kataku dengan kaget. ternyata dia menyuruhku membantunya membawa lembar paper test kemarin kee ruangannya. nggak tahu kenapa pas ditangga, kepalaku ter...tatih kepusingan dan terjungkalah aku ke bawah dan ...
jatuh terbentur kepalaku.. ku langsung ke ruang uks sekolah tanpa mempedulikan paper test yang terbang berserakan di lantai tangga. darahku menetes deras dan membuat ku sangat gugup. ku langsung perban kepalau sendiri dengan tanganku yang memerah. mereka bereaksi sangat cepat dan ku kunci pintu rapat-rapat, ku menggigil ke ..
takutan dan mendorong meja besar coklat ke belakang pintu yang telah terkunci dan "Braaaaaaaaak!" mereka mencoba masuk dan ku pecahkan kaca uks karena ku pikir tak ada waktu untuk membuka kuncinya dan ku semprotkan pewangi ruangan supaya bau darahku tidak terdeteksi tapi mereka tetap menendang dan mencoba masuk ke ruangan sempit itu, dan ..
"Gosh!!" kataku dengan menghela keningku dengan perban yang telah kubalut di tanganku dengan rapat. ku buku pintu ruang uks dan berjalan ke kantin, rasanya tidak lapar lagi tapi ku harus makan karena ku tahu akau ada asma. sebelum ku belok ke kantin, ku berlari dan mengambil serakan kertas seraya membantu guru bhs ingg...risku yang tengah jongkok mengambil kertas-kertas putih itu.
CHAPTER TWO . Welcome to MY -only- world
welcome to my world! kayanya kata yang tepat untuk mengambarkan kehidupan baruku ini. sesuatu yang baru, lebih tepatnya, lingkungan yang baru. dua dunia yang berbeda. menyeramkan, mungkin, sudah jadi biasa bagiku. kita harus bisa jaga-jaga diri, lebih khususnya, aku. karena semua orang di duniaku ini siap memakanku hidup-hidup!
Kamis pagi yang cerah, biasa ku telat lagi ke sekolah. Martha menelponku meminta aku menjeputnya. jelas saja aku tak bisa, aku sedang mandi saat itu. oh ya, Martha adalah teman baikku, sangat baik bisa dibilang. dia dan aku sering nonton bareng. film terakhir yang kita tonton adalah REAL. film yang buat kita nunggu ber...jam-jam sampai kakiku pegel abis. dia sangat terharu oleh film itu.
film tentang manusia normal. tidak aneh bagiku.. hari ini kuharap tak ada yang berubah. tak ada yang aneh yang akan terjadi pada mereka. dan berimbas kepadaku. lagi.
kumasih ingat jelas banget Martha menagis di film itu, kalau dia adalah manusia normal, bisa dibilang itu tangisan palsu. dia hanya menghela pipinya yang tak basah sama sekali. lucu dan aneh tapi ku "ignore" saja selama film itu berlangsung
setelah nonton sama dia, kuantar dia pulang dan kubawa diriku juga pulang kerumah dan istirahat like forever for me. hari ini tak ada yang janggal sama sekali sama orang-orang di duniaku ini, asyik kataku dihati sambil menutup mata yang lelah ini.
sekarang jum'at dan aku berada di tangga menuju kamar ibuku. kuhanya melamun sendiri seperti orang tak ada kerjaan, emang, pikirku! "hmm roti isi telur buat sarapan pagi ini boleh juga!" nyataku sambil berjalan menuju dapur.
rumah yang besar dan tak pernah kurasakan seperti ini ketika ibu, bapak, adik dan kakakku ada disini. tapi rindu juga sama mereka. "hope they have good trip!" cetusku sambil mencuci satu piring dari tumpukan piring kotor di wastafel. anak cowok ditinggal sendiri di rumah jadinya begini.
ku melihat ujung jalan menuju kamar Alec dan penuh dengan bungkusan snacks yang ku beli hari kemarin setelah mengantar Martha pulang. ku alihkan perhatianku dekat kamar Millianne, sudah menumpuk baju dan kaus kaki kotorku. kasian dia, kamarnya dekat dengan laundry basket!

JW MARRIOT & RITZ CARLTON TRAGEDY

One day after the tragedy.
After I saw the tragedy in JW Marriot and Ritz Carlton, I feel so sad and afraid. It is because there are many victims.
Many people said that it was suicide bombing, I think, if the terrorist want to suicide, please don’t involve the innocent, right?
I’m afraid because If I am in a public place and suddenly, the bomb explodes, of course I’ll die. Oh No!
Strangely, the security in the place is always very strict but it happened again.
Well, I’m just hoping for Indonesian terrorist to get their right road to God!!

I don’t believe it firstly because I got the news from my friends and didn’t see it on my own eyes. After I watched the news on the TV, now I believe that there was a bomb!

About the amateur video of the bomb, I think it’s not very human because how easy to kill the innocent people. I don’t know if they got ordered or by themselves. Many people think, it connects to the national election, maybe there is jealousy or envious about the result but that would be the worst people for me.

I love teaching people who want to have new knowledge. I learnt from much too much in four years, to be the best teacher, how to be part of their environment, adapted, liked and made them behave well.
When you're in the education field, it's me and i do more respect in every side of the people especially to the teacher himself. Learning help smart to not smart student in a good way without judging them this and that.
There are many teachers or even the master who have precious knowledge and a very high degree. Can they teach well? No, i don't think so. Because teaching is more than delivering the lesson. Ah ah more that, honey!
Even myself, i am still trying to be the best teacher! Days are changing so are the students! Get it?
I'm not going to be the teacher forever so i take this as a long journey to have a great experience meeting and more importantly educating them to be good and have knowledge that i've explained. It's priceless and i won't trade it to other!
The job is uneasy! It's harder!
Maybe i can't travel around the world now just yet but i do travel around people's mind like our wide globe to explore, i think it's wider!
Educate will be good word than Teach for me!

I like watching people and don't quite like it if i were them but let's face and play fair, i'll be so okay with it! But don't judge subjectively on me cause i don't do it!
Watching them is like watching me a few years a go and wonder what the watchman would say and do if i do cheat or what!
I technically gave them one shot to cheat and i consider that as a chance because they actually see me in the first place. Did they cheat smartly or not? You judge yourself or if you don't know the answer, you can give me a comment and i'll explain.
It's almost 8 and they seemed tired of trying and thanks for bpk Tatang for being a good watchman, always go around and this time i just sat down but my eyes kept watching them.

The 1st Grade, Room 23
At 10 that day, i was still here in Room 24 watching over the 1st grade students for their last test of the day, Art test! That time was Music test! They were stress and i could feel every breathe that they take and every stare to me! Hehe
if i were them at their place doing that piece of test paper only contain a line and a sign that we must fill, i would cry huhu (gak jg si, yg pasti stress bis) it was so difficult apalagi they said the teacher seldom to come to the class What! So i suggest to them write down their complain like, " i don't get it please explain again" kind of thing.
Some faces said it with ADUUH things palagi when the other watchman walked to the back and the front-seated students exhaled loudly and the rest followed
so funny! They laughed stressfully!
I agreed with them. It was hard time! But i do hope that you'll get the re-explanation, the better one!
The 1st grade is getting closer to me so the 3rd grade during my Brave-to speak-it mission in 2nd class. Even they are now in FB. We're getting know better there, nice to meet you guys!
if i were them at their place doing that piece of test paper only contain a line and a sign that we must fill, i would cry huhu (gak jg si, yg pasti stress bis) it was so difficult apalagi they said the teacher seldom to come to the class What! So i suggest to them write down their complain like, " i don't get it please explain again" kind of thing.
Some faces said it with ADUUH things palagi when the other watchman walked to the back and the front-seated students exhaled loudly and the rest followed
so funny! They laughed stressfully!
I agreed with them. It was hard time! But i do hope that you'll get the re-explanation, the better one!

Old VS New students
You know what, the technology is getting better! And it makes our live easier, i bet you can feel it!
When we're talking about technology, it'll be no end, right? Let's say to the Internet And nowadays many students are on it (read: addict to it) and it makes their live colourful and of course, easier to find things
so what's the difference of the old and new students? The old school students have no access to the technology (most of them) and it makes them have a stronger determination and not giving up easily on things. So different with the new school students who get everything stored for them and actually makes them lazier and giving up easily on things cause they become more practical or find thing which is more practice, especially what i've seen with the test.
For those who use their brain to the technology, they will be smarter. And new school students are smarter outside the school while the opposite is so smart at school and has little link outside. It's about Gaul thing, you know what i mean.
In manner, hmm the old one is way more polite to their teacher than the opposite. They respect their teacher and try not to talk a lot while the teacher's explaining but they are not lebay like the new school students. Lebay here means expressive. They tell what they want if they brave enough (you can count!) to the teacher face while the opposite is trying to accept or speak it to the other about their complaint.
Well, we're going to change to something better based on our time requirements!

My Favourite Student
I like to see a student who's trying hard to achieve the maximum result.
For instance the 3rd grade student that i've watched over, It's okay to cheat one or two like Markus, just spotted!. I like his attitude, so cool man, cause he straight put his headphone on and did the Bahasa test while his friends stressed out and gave up easily.
My favourite student will be someone who is not giving up easily in every test. At least, he tries to it and actually it's okay to cheat but please do cheat with the brain a.k.a with smart! And if you don't know the answer especially in essay, do write your own story based on the knowledge that you've got from your teacher explanation, and good teacher would be better if he let the student answer the question with no exact words on the book, that will be frustruated even to me!

Suddenly Monday
It was Monday and i was alone to keep watching students but not only i got the wrong class but also wrong partner haha
i took my leader rule to share the paper alone and bla bla thing and they were actually, happy to have me until this man came in but that was okay cause he made my job easier. Anyway, i've been like investigated by him, not letting me have my own space to get the air cause i was sweating after taking the amal. Huhu
you know, he kept asking about me in the beginning where we should be watching them and spotting the student who hasn't shutted their mouth close.

Trying to figure the question out although i just remember some parts of the story and write it down on my own story like history subject, i reckon! That was what i told.
The situation
the test situation would be the same each year. It'll be so silent at first and if someone comes late, everyone in the room will be distracted. Oh yeah, if Drama Queen who comes late, she will make noisy things like what just happened! The sound of her shoes killed the silence haha
and it'll be noisier when it comes 10 to 5 minutes before the time's up. They need some help or just to match the answer! I totally am back to my years..

Now, he's reading NP (baca: Newspaper) and me, myself and I who am watching over the student who began to cheat 30mins ago. Thank God i'm good Watchman, remember! Hehe

Welcome 2009
New year! New spirit!
January and February Updates!
It was short holiday from the last day of Dec '08 to Jan 5th of '09. I wasn't ready to teach because of my hectic until four of Jan but I prepared well the material though!
The coordinator once again late to inform that the first day of school would be in active for teaching, it meant off day! And i took one day off because i got sick!
January is quite fast and I can't even write about them haha
somehow, January would be on new spirit theme! Remember my mission? It's making them brave to speak English and this time i was widening their horizon about English itself. We learnt different accent, British!
Some love and hate it! This accent is hard but it may be the accent that they will deal in the future like for UN.
It's British Drama Class and using my other ability, Acting! They were good and the videos + pictures have been uploaded in the previous posting.
February is just like January even faster because we only have 28 days, right? Hehe
UB weeks stress them and this week will be remed week because the failed to get 7, the limit score! Too bad because all they needed was one more right answer and I blame it on their time management! My english and Japanese was on the same two hours, no break!

Anyway, this year they have one New rule which is Moving Class. They are even busier because of it and have to climb to fourth floor with backpage on their back, no locker yet!
Pity them..
There'll be good and bad side. For me the good side will be avoiding the same-class-like-forever boredom. And the other side is wasting time( in efficient like they've said, and i agree!) even the teacher is moving haha

Weekly Updates
These two weeks would be no note about them, my students of course! But i'll keep updating them (both Saviour and Spin) It has been busy weeks for me to just teach them! And of course full of unexpected event like their excitement, tired of moving and problem of their own from home, i tried to be the best teacher to them to make them come back to be full of spirit in studying English! It's experience, hard but cool experience, which i learn something more than just teach English to them. It is knowing them better..
